Unicorn Theatre artistic director Rachel Bagshaw has joined the board of UK Theatre.
Bagshaw joins the likes of Curve Theatre chief executive Chris Stafford and Leeds Playhouse chief executive Shawab Iqbal, with the board presided over by UK Theatre president and Chichester Festival Theatre leader Kathy Bourne.
Her appointment comes about three years after she became artistic director of Unicorn Theatre, having previously served as its associate director for five years.

Bagshaw’s CV also includes collaborations with a range of venues and companies from Graeae to the Royal Exchange, Manchester.
"As the artistic director of the Unicorn, the UK home of theatre for young audiences, I believe that accessible, sustainable and hopeful theatre can transform lives; live storytelling is vital to our world," Bagshaw said.
"I look forward to working with my fellow board members to support our sector to inspire audiences nationwide and, in doing so, pave the way for theatre’s thinkers and makers of the future.”
