Singin’ in the Rain is to tour the UK in 2021, following its run at Sadler’s Wells in London.
Starring Adam Cooper, the musical will have a five-week season at the London venue this summer, before embarking on tour.
The tour will open at Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre on January 21, and will visit venues including Newcastle’s Theatre Royal, Leeds Grand Theatre, Birmingham Hippodrome and Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre.
The production originally opened at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2011, and was revived in 2012 at London’s Palace Theatre.
It will be helmed by the show’s original director Jonathan Church, who is reunited with choreographer Andrew Wright.
The show has design by Simon Higlett and lighting by Tim Mitchell. It is produced by Michael Harrison Entertainment and Jonathan Church Productions.
