Les Miserables summer shake-up sees Bradley Jaden’s return
Les Miserables is to bring back Bradley Jaden in the starring role of Javert, one of several cast changes over the summer.
Jaden, who is currently playing Fiyero in Wicked, will move to the Cameron Mackintosh production at the Queen’s Theatre in July.
He was previously a cover in Les Mis before graduating to play Enjolras in 2015, and called the musical a “dream” for a younger performer.
The show, seen by 70 million people in 51 countries and based on the novel by Victor Hugo, also announced Dean Chisnall as the new Jean Valjean from June 11. Chisnall most recently played the narrator in the UK tour of Blood Brothers, as well as the title character in Shrek’s UK tour.
Other new cast members who join the show in June are Toby Miles as Marius, Elena Skye as Eponine, Vivien Parry as Madame Thenardier and Amara Okereke as Cosette. Steven Meo, who currently plays Thernardier, and Carley Stenson, who plays Fantine, will remain in the roles.
