About the course

A highly practical skills-led programme that is designed to produce intelligent, innovative and unique actors who are industry ready and diverse in their creative aptitude.

Taught by practicing actors, directors, movement directors and vocal coaches that are at the forefront of their field, you will be exposed to cutting edge actor training techniques, which you will apply in various professional scenarios including live performances, acting for screen and games, and experimental performance practices.  Your practical study culminates in an end of year show, which will be performed to public audience that includes industry professionals and agents.

We pride ourselves on providing our students with the most current placement opportunities, and with this in mind you will find yourself working alongside our industry partners, which include Transform International Theatre Festival and Northern Opera Group.  

Located within Leeds Beckett University, the Leeds School of Arts boasts an industry standard arts space that includes a 180-Seat theatre, 80-seat Black Box, three dedicated training studios, and a 200-seat cinema.  You will also have access to state-of-the-art recording studios, ensemble rooms, and mastering suites.

Your training with us will be extraordinary, and will prepare you for taking your first steps into diverse employment within the creative industries.
