Birmingham Repertory Theatre is to make a series of redundancies as part of “structural changes” at the organisation.
The Stage understands that five positions are affected so far, including the role of general manager, as well as positions in the press department and human resources.
It is understood that one of the staff members who has been made redundant has been in the job for 19 years.
The changes have been made following the appointment of Sean Foley as artistic director at the venue in March last year, taking over from Roxana Silbert.
Birmingham Rep executive director Rachael Thomas said: “Following the relatively recent change of leadership at Birmingham Rep, a number of structural changes are being made to some departments to reflect the ambition and plans of the new leadership.
“The organisation will be making a number of new appointments in the coming months.”
Birmingham Rep employs a total of 165 people across all its departments.
