Immersive events company Secret Cinema has partnered with Disney, in a move that will bring many of Walt Disney Studios’ films titles to life through film, theatre and dance.
The first show under the multi-title agreement is expected to open this year in London.
Secret Cinema chief executive Max Alexander said it would be about “bringing together a unique combination of skills and expertise to build ever more authentic and amazing experiences”.
The organisation is currently staging Stranger Things, with Dirty Dancing to follow this summer. Previously it has staged productions based on Moulin Rouge and Casino Royale. In each production, the world of the film is recreated at a secret location, with audience members participating as if they were in the film itself.
As well as opening Disney shows in London, the company plans to roll out productions in Los Angeles and New York.
