Organisations including the Society of London Theatre and the Association of British Theatre Technicians have launched a campaign to fight for the survival of the events sector through the Covid-19 crisis.
Other industry bodies involved in the initiative include UK Theatre, the Professional Lighting and Sound Association and the Production Services Association.
The #EventsForTheFuture campaign is calling on everyone in the events and entertainment industry to petition their local MPs for more government support to safeguard the future of businesses and livelihoods in the sector.
Sample letters are available on the websites of the organisations involved in the campaign, which can be customised to reflect individual situations.

White Light managing director Bryan Raven, who coordinated meetings for the campaign, said: “Through collective action we believe we can get the voice of the industry heard; it has been great to see these associations working together on a common cause.”
