The team behind Immersive LDN, the West End venue dedicated to immersive experiences, has announced that they will be curating a new online theatre festival, after venues went dark due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The Housetrap Theatre and Arts Festival, which will be live streamed in April, will consist of a curated evening of performance that will be organised and performed remotely.
Artists can apply to take part via the company’s website and potential slots will be between 15 and 50 minutes in length.
The festival will be donation based, with audiences invited to give what they can.
The money raised will then be shared between the artists performing and cover the festival’s running costs.
Immersive LDN is a hub for immersive performance located in Mayfair. It has hosted a range of immersive shows including the popular immersive version of The Great Gatsby and was nominated in the innovation category in this year’s The Stage Awards.
The festival will be streamed live on April 3 from 6.30pm until midnight.
