New Of Mice and Men production to tour the UK
John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men will tour the UK as part of a new collaboration between the Touring Consortium Theatre and Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
Birmingham Rep artistic director Roxana Silbert will direct the production, which is being staged as part of the Touring Theatre Consortiums 20th year of programming.
Kristian Phillips and William Rodell will lead the cast as Lennie and George respectively.
The show will begin its tour at the Rep from February 4 to February 13, with press night on February 9.
Liz Ashcroft will design the show, which will then tour to venues including Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre, the Grand Theatre in Blackpool, the New Theatre in Cardiff and Leicester’s Curve, where it is scheduled to finish on May 28.
Lighting will be by Simon Bond, with sound and music by Nick Powell and movement by Lucy Cullingford.
The cast also includes Dave Fishley, Nicholas Goode, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Neil McKinven, Jonah Russell, Ben Stott and Dudley Sutton.
