Fundamentals for Dance Teaching (Online) Credit Rated

This course will be taught online using a mixture of MS Teams and Zoom – you can take part from the comfort of your own home from anywhere in the world!

Throughout this course you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge, understanding and application of the skills involved in teaching dance.

You will learn how to plan and deliver effective dance sessions, considering structure, content, timing and level. You will learn about safe dance practice and how to embed this in the classroom. You will also discover how to work with musical accompaniment and live musicians.

The course will involve:

• Taught tutor-led sessions
• Class observations (at various levels)
• Teaching ‘practice’ with fellow students
