Kander and Ebb musical Curtains will have its London premiere at Wyndham’s Theatre, it has been confirmed.
The murder mystery comedy, currently on tour, will play 38 performances from December 13 until January 11, 2020.
Jason Manford will play Detective Frank Cioffi, and is joined by Carley Stenson as Georgia Hendricks, Rebecca Lock as Carmen Bernstein, Samuel Holmes as Christopher Belling and Leah Barbara West as Niki Harris. Alan Burkitt and Andy Coxon also feature in the cast.
The producers said: “We are incredibly proud of our show and delighted to be bringing it to the West End.
“The whole team have worked so hard to get the show to where it is today and we are thrilled we can show London audiences our wonderful production.”
After its London run the show will continue on tour, resuming on January 14, 2020 at New Wimbledon Theatre.
The tour will then visit, Sunderland, Liverpool, Llandudno, Norwich, Northampton, Blackpool, Glasgow, Leicester and Wolverhampton, before finishing its run in Southampton at the Mayflower Theatre on April 11, 2020.
The production is directed by Paul Foster with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. The book is by Rupert Holmes, with an original book and concept by Peter Stone.
It is produced by Dan Looney, Adam Paulden and Jason Haigh-Ellery for DLAP Entertainment, Sally Horchow, Roger Horchow and Walport Productions.
