A performer training programme that focusses on providing a skills-led curriculum across the three disciplines of acting, singing and dance.
As a programme written for aspiring artists by practicing artists, you can expect to be taught by highly skilled professionals and have the opportunity to apply your skills across a range of performance forms including text-based theatre, musical theatre, physical theatre, and choral singing.
As part of your training, you’ll be able to take advantage of the Arts Infrastructure module, which offers the chance to undertake a placement opportunity in the area of employment that you’re most interested in. With access to our extensive network this can include working closely with established artists, performance and technical opportunities in professional productions, as well arts administration and teaching.
Located within Leeds Beckett University, the Leeds School of Arts boasts an industry standard arts space that includes a 180-Seat theatre, 80-seat Black Box, three dedicated training studios, and a 200-seat cinema. You will also have access to state-of-the-art recording studios, ensemble rooms, and mastering suites.
