BA (Hons) Music Technology

At Leeds Beckett University we are proud of our long history of providing students with a high-quality technical education in Music and Sound systems. Our new Leeds School of Arts Building in Leeds City Centre provides us with exiting opportunities to continue this tradition and provides students on the BSc Music Technology with the facilities to explore sound systems within Music, Theatre and Film Sound contexts.

Your course is delivered by an academic teaching team made up of active practitioners and active researchers in our state-of-the-art recording studios, production suites, mastering facilities, surround sound spaces and dedicated music IT labs. In addition, you will use our anechoic chamber and acoustics suite and have access to rehearsal rooms. Collaborations with Music Performance and Performing Arts students can see you working within our theatre spaces and Student’s Union Stage music venue. 

Students from BSc Music Technology have gone on to successful careers in recording studios, live sound, theatre sound and postproduction sound for film and TV as well as related industries such as acoustics and loudspeaker design.
