Charity Stage One has announced grants of up to £5,000 for producers who have previously undertaken a development programme with the organisation.
It said it was “acutely aware of the disruption and uncertainty producers are facing and are here to help with financial support and practical advice for those who are directly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak”.
It is offering grants to people who are recent recipients of small-scale investment with a production which has been cancelled or postponed, a bursary recipient with a production which has been cancelled or postponed or to anyone who has been made redundant or lost confirmed paid work originally arranged through Stage One over the next 3 months.
The company said the grants could be used by individuals directly or to pay for a professional, such a lawyer, to help them discuss their options.
Applications should be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org, with an outline of no more than 800 words about the producer’s situation and the amount being sought.
