The Best West End Debut Sponsor

Joe Allen is the historic theatre-land restaurant which has been housed on Exeter St in Covent Garden for the past 40 years but which will soon move to a new home, 25 metres down the road, at 2 Burleigh Street.

A stalwart for the great and the good of the West End, Joe’s is the ultimate New York brasserie, offering classic American dishes, cocktails and a show tune or two at the piano. Open 7 days a week from brunch to pre-theatre and well into the evening after the curtains have been drawn on the London theatre circuit, it has often been dubbed the ‘West-End Canteen’ owing to the many actors, celebrities and even royalty who have been visiting Joe Allen since it opened its doors in January 1977. In 2012 Tim Healy and Lawrence Hartley took over the business, breathing a new lease of life into the institution which re-opened at its new address in late August 2017, bringing with them the whole Joe’s team and, almost everything but the kitchen sink.

Joe Allen has been celebrating all things screen and theatre for over 40 years. The Covent Garden restaurant has become one of the most popular spots for pre and post theatre goers with a menu boasting New York style food and cocktails. Joe Allen continues to be very proud to celebrate the fresh faces and rising talent of the London stage sponsoring the Joe Allen Best West End Debut Award at The Stage Debut Awards.
