Submissions Process

Who can you enter submit for The Stage Debut Awards?

Yourself – why not? We want to hear about your fabulous talent! Or anyone else you have worked with or whose work you admire, as long as they are making their debut between 18th July 2025 and 9th July 2026 in a production reviewed by The Stage

We particularly welcome entries from outside London and all scales of professional productions are eligible.

Definition of debut: first professional appearance in a named role (if performer) or credit (if creative role) in a production reviewed by The Stage (previous appearances in ensemble roles or as an understudy do not disqualify you from consideration).

Definition of West End debut: first professional appearance in a named role (if performer) or credit (if creative role) in the West End in a production reviewed by The Stage (previous appearances in ensemble roles or as an understudy do not disqualify you from consideration). This does not need to be a full professional debut, only the first appearance or credit in the West End. e.g. a Broadway performer making their debut in the West End would be eligible.

Submissions only need to be entered once per category to be considered. Every submission, regardless of the amount of entries it has, is assessed equally and fairly by the judging panel.
