First professional appearance in a named role in the West End in a production reviewed by The Stage (previous appearances in ensemble roles or as an understudy do not disqualify you from consideration).

This does not need to be a full professional debut, only the first appearance in the West End. e.g. a Broadway performer making their debut in the West End would be eligible.

The Best West End Debut Performer category covers all West End performance debuts. West End is defined as commercial theatres in full SOLT membership.

Nominees must be over 16 years old or over.

The winner of Best West End Debut Performer is determined by a public vote.
