
Rebecca Lenkiewicz (born 1968 in Plymouth, England) is a British playwright, screenwriter, director, and former actress. She gained prominence with her play Her Naked Skin (2008), the first original work by a living female playwright staged on the Olivier Stage at London's National Theatre. Her screenwriting credits include the Oscar-winning Ida (2013), co-written with Paweł Pawlikowski, as well as Disobedience (2017), Colette (2018), and She Said (2022). A graduate of the University of Kent and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Lenkiewicz began her career as an actress before transitioning to writing for stage and screen.
