Poll: Should producers and promoters be expected to pay for their own tickets at the Edinburgh Fringe?

At this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, a group of companies and theatremakers have launched the #PayIfYouCan initiative, urging established producers, promoters and companies to avoid asking for complimentary tickets in situations where they or their company can afford to pay.

The Stage columnist Lyn Gardner said more appreciation should be given to the fact that it is often those with the least money – the artists – who foot the bill for these tickets. [1]
