In a column for The Stage, Lyn Gardner praised David Lan for stepping down at the right time, and proposed that artistic directors of publicly funded cultural organisations should have fixed-term contracts. Gardner claimed this would increase diversity and prevent theatres becoming institutionalised. This week we're asking: Should artistic directors have fixed-term contracts?
