Edinburgh Comedy award-winner Jordan Brookes will perform alongside other shortlisted acts from this year’s competition in three West End gala shows next month.
Brookes, who won the best show prize at Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2019 for I’ve Got Nothing, will appear at the Duchess Theatre on October 14 alongside nominees Delightful Sausage and Goodbear.
The awards celebrate comedy at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the London galas will bring together nominees from this year over the course of three nights.
Other shortlisted comedians appearing in shows on October 21 and 28 include Jess Fostekew, Ivo Graham and Darren Harriott, with comperes including Chris Washington and Jayde Adams.
Further acts are to be announced.
The shows are being staged at the Duchess – operated by awards producer Nica Burns – and will run on three consecutive Monday evenings, when The Play That Goes Wrong does not have a performance.
TV channel Dave took over sponsorship of the awards this year, following in the footsteps of backers including long-time sponsor Perrier, Foster’s and Lastminute.com.
