Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel have extended their stint in the West End production of Waitress by two weeks.
The stars will now continue in the roles of Jenna and Dr Pomatter for two weeks longer than planned, until March 21.
Bareilles, who wrote the music for the show, joined the cast last month alongside Creel, who she starred alongside in the Broadway production.
Their performances will run over the musical’s first anniversary at the Adelphi Theatre, which takes place in March. It is running until July 4, while a UK tour of the show has also been announced.
Waitress has music and lyrics by Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson. It is directed by Diane Paulus and choreographed by Lorin Latarro.
Producers include Barry and Fran Weissler, Norton and Elayne Herrick, Alecia Parker, David I Berley and Feste Investments. It is executive produced by Peter May.
