Caprice Holdings, the restaurant group behind Balthazar, J Sheekey and Sexy Fish, has teamed up with LW Theatres to launch a new offering for the renovated Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Reopening in the autumn of next year, the theatre will unveil a new restaurant on the redeveloped site, operated by Caprice Holdings and billed as “the foot and beverage cornerstone of the new destination”. It will be based in an adjoining building on Catherine Street.
Andrew Lloyd Webber said: “I am delighted to announce this partnership with Richard Caring and Caprice Holdings. Richard is a brilliant restauranteur and showman, both of which are essential to ensuring the theatre will continue to be a vibrant part of Covent Garden life.”
He added: “He is behind many of the country’s most loved and entertaining restaurants, making it a perfect match to our ambitious project at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. I’m thrilled to be working together.”
Caring, chairman of Caprice Holdings, said he would create “something special and truly unique that will make you smile”.
The redeveloped Theatre Royal Drury Lane will be open to the public all day.
