Rachel Tackley has rejoined Ambassador Theatre Group following her unexpected departure from Chichester Festival Theatre.
Tackley left Chichester last year, after two years as executive director, citing “different leadership styles” between her and artistic director Daniel Evans.
Now, she has joined the production arm of ATG, where she was head of programming between 2002 and 2006. She will be with the company on a short-term basis.
At ATG, she will work on existing productions, as well as on the development of others.
Adam Speers, executive producer at ATG, said: “I am delighted that, for the next few months, Rachel Tackley will be joining ATG Productions. She is coming on board to work on various live projects as well working with me on number of development projects. It is a hugely busy time for ATG Productions, with nine productions and co-productions on stage or in pre-production, and many more exciting projects in development. Rachel will be a great asset to the whole production team.”
Tackley recently co-produced Ian McKellen’s King Lear and Caroline, or Change with ATG at Chichester and said: “I have enormous respect and fondness for the team here. I very much look forward to working with them in the coming months and to helping develop the next thrilling phase.”
