Jay McGuiness and Kimberley Walsh to star in Sleepless – A Musical Romance when it runs in London this year.
Based on the original screenplay from the film Sleepless in Seattle, McGuiness and Walsh will perform as as Sam and Annie, with Daniel Casey cast as Walter.
McGuinness and Walsh appeared alongside each other last year in Big the Musical in the West End.
The Sleepless company also includes Harriet Thorpe, Tania Mathurin and Jake Sharp.
The show will open on April 1 at London’s Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, with previews from 24 March. It is scheduled to run until May 3.
Sleepless has music and lyrics by Robert Scott and Brendan Cull, with a book by Michael Burdette. It is directed by Morgan Young.
It is produced by Michael Rose, Encore Theatre Productions and David Shor and Marc Toberoff.
A production of the musical was due to be mounted by Rose, Shor and Toberoff in 2017 at Theatre Royal Plymouth, and had been due to star Danny Mac and Carley Stenson, however this run was cancelled two months before it was due to open.
