Fun Home is set to be adapted into a film starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
The film will reportedly be produced by Gyllenhaal’s production company, Nine Stories Productions.
With music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by Lisa Kron, the musical is adapted from Alison Bechdel’s 2006 graphic novel which explores her life and her relationships.
It ran on Broadway in 2015 before transferring to the Young Vic in London in 2018.
Gyllenhaal is thought to be playing Alison’s father Bruce Bechdel, with further details to be announced.
Nine Stories Productions has been contacted for comment.
