Eugenius! The Musical is to transfer to the Ambassadors Theatre, where it will fill a slot that was initially taken by play Foxfinder.
Foxfinder, starring Heida Reed and directed by Rachel O’Riordan, has announced it will close earlier than expected, on October 20. It had been due to run until January 5.
Now, Eugenius! will run at the venue, opening at the theatre on October 27 and running until January 5, 2019.
The musical is written by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins, and directed by Ian Talbot.
It is produced by Warwick Davis, Kevin Wood and George Wood, and is just completing a run at the Other Palace, where it initially opened earlier this year.
Davis said: “We are thrilled to present Eugenius! in the West End – what an incredible, epic journey we have been on. At the beginning of 2018, Eugenius! had a buzz-filled, triumphant 6-week premiere at the Other Palace. The reaction was so incredible that we were invited back for another season.”
He added: “With many fans seeing it multiple times, their love for the show, the characters and earworm songs created a wonderful online community and the social media reaction has completely blown us all away. That buzz and army of supporters is now propelling us to the heart of the West End and we look forward to seeing audiences on their feet at every performance.”
