The UK tour of Boeing-Boeing starring Tom Lister and Daniel Casey has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
Marc Camoletti’s play was due to open at Brighton Theatre Royal on September 4 and visit locations across the UK until May 2, 2020.
The cast are understood to have started rehearsals for the show.
Boeing-Boing is produced by Dan Looney, Adam Paulden and Jason Haigh-Ellery for DLAP Entertainment.
A statement from the producers said: “It is with great sadness that we have had to make the decision not to go ahead with the forthcoming tour of Boeing-Boeing.
“Unfortunately the advance ticket sales are simply not enough to make the tour viable.
“Although we love this play and it will always be very close to our hearts, it just doesn’t seem to have captured the public’s imagination like we hoped it would.”
Ticket holders have been advised to contact their original point of sale to arrange a refund.
Boeing-Boeing was translated by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans and directed by Guy Unsworth.
