Drama school student Jac Yarrow has been cast in the title role in the forthcoming revival of Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the West End.
21-year-old Yarrow will make his professional stage debut in the role, starring alongside Sheridan Smith as the narrator and Jason Donovan as the Pharaoh.
Yarrow, who recently starred in Arts Educational Schools’ production of Newsies, said: “I can’t quite believe it. Here I am, 21 years old, still at drama school and come June I’ll be standing centre stage at the prestigious London Palladium, singing the iconic music and lyrics of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. My dream came true.”
Joseph opens at the London Palladium on July 11, with previews from June 27. It will run for an 11-week season, until September 8. The production is directed by Laurence Connor and choreographed by JoAnn M Hunter.
It is produced by Michael Harrison.
