The official opening of immersive horror show Variant 31 has been postponed.
According to producers, the show – which was due to have a press night on September 13 – will now have its official opening night at some point in October. It will begin previewing from September 13.
They blamed the move on “the sheer scale and complexity of the experience”.
“We appreciate your on-going patience while we put the finishing touches to Europe’s largest and most technically complex immersive experience, and apologise for any inconvenience,” a statement added.
This is the second time the opening of the show has been moved. It had been due to open in April this year, but this was pushed back until September. At the time, producers said they did not “want to offer guests… an experience that may not excel in every possible way”.
Variant 31 is produced by Paul Godfrey, Nick Young, Harmonia Holdings, John Cowper, John Newlands and Mohamed Guessous, in association with Michael Dahl Rasmussen and Rachel Kraftman Productions.
