Ruth Wilson will perform opposite 100 different men in a one-off, 24-hour production at the Young Vic later this year.
Wilson will star in the UK premiere of The Second Woman, in which she will perform the same scene on repeat over a period of 24 hours, each time acting alongside a different man.
Described as an “epic feat of endurance theatre and live cinema”, it will take place on June 19 to 20 as part of LIFT.
Wilson said: “I am absolutely thrilled, and a little scared to be part of Nat Randall and Anna Breckon’s truly unique theatrical experience. I have a feeling that The Second Woman will challenge all norms of what it means to be actor and audience, to be performer and observer.”
Audiences will be able to purchase 24-hour tickets, giving them access to the entire performance, as well as advance timed tickets for a certain duration, and seats on the door.
The Second Woman is written and directed by Randall and Breckon, and produced by the Young Vic and LIFT.
