Jude Christian has been appointed associate director of Manchester arts venue Home.
She will join the organisation in a newly created role, in which she will contribute to the development of new work, artists and companies, and take a lead on Home’s in-house productions.
Christian has previously held roles including resident director at the National Theatre Studio and associate artist at the Yard Theatre and the Lyric Hammersmith. She is currently an associate at the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill.
Christian will work alongside Home’s director and chief executive Dave Moutrey and executive director Jon Gilchrist.
She said: “Home is a place where people, art and ideas mingle and collide, where radical cultural and social movements can germinate, in the way that Manchester does best. I’m massively chuffed to be joining the team and looking forward to creating and nurturing new work in this brilliantly eclectic new building.”
Home opened in 2015, and its theatre output was overseen by Walter Meierjohann, who acted as director of theatre until last year.
