Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has extended its run in the West End until September 2019.
The musical, which celebrates its first anniversary at the Apollo Theatre today (November 6), is now booking until September 28, 2019.
The musical, by Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae, premiered in Sheffield in 2017 and is based on the BBC documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16.
It currently stars John McCrea, who will be replaced by Layton Williams in January.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is directed by Jonathan Butterell, with choreography by Kate Prince and design by Anna Fleischle.
It is produced by Nica Burns, Ian Osborne, Paula Marie Black and Teresa and Craig Beech.
A film version of the show is currently in development, with filming expected to commence in the spring.
