London’s h Club is offering free online memberships to anyone working in the creative industries for the duration of the Covid-19 lockdown period.
The members’ club – formerly called the Hospital Club – has already suspended fees for its current members.
Online members will have access to networking opportunities, a news feed where they can post new ideas and callouts for collaborators, a newsletter and links to other arts content.
They will also have access to an online programme of events, the first of which is World Book Night at 6.45pm on April 23, which will see authors and actors read passages from their favourite books.
Managing director at the h Club Rob Seals said: "We are fortunate to be in a position to be able to reach out and support those in the Creative Industries and give something back in the form of this online membership.
"In what has been, and will continue to be, a period of uncertainty for many in our community hopefully this small gesture will see some people gain a big benefit."
Membership of the h Club is open to people who work in advertising, marketing and PR, architecture and design, digital media, fashion, film, gaming, music, publishing and writing, sports, tech, television broadcast, theatre and performance and visual arts.
