Tanya Moodie, John McCrea and Katie Brayben are among the cast announced for Jeremy O Harris’ Daddy at the Almeida Theatre.
Described as “an explosive and blistering melodrama”, Daddy begins performances at the London theatre on March 30, directed by Danya Taymor.
Alongside Moodie, McCrea and Brayben the cast includes Keisha Atwell, Rebecca Bernice Amissah, Jabari Braham, Alexander Hanson, David Jonsson and Ioanna Kimbook.
Press night will be on April 9, with performances continuing until May 9.
Harris is the recipient of the Paula Vogel Playwriting Award, for which he staged Daddy at the Vineyard Theatre in New York. His plays also include Slave Play, which ran on Broadway last year.
Daddy is designed by Matt Saunders, with costumes by Montana Levi Blanco, lighting by Isabella Byrd, sound by Lee Kinney and movement direction by Anjali Mehra.
Music direction is by Tim Sutton, intimacy and fight direction by Yarit Dor and casting by Amy Ball.
