The recommendations for the industry also included:
During the second half of the event, attendees separated into breakout groups with discussion themes that included authenticity and appropriation, how to resolve the challenges of casting representatively outside London and the importance of offstage diversity.
There were also conversations around LGBT+ representation and allowing a space for trauma in discussions about prejudice.
Each group then suggested practical recommendations for these areas, which will be collated and shared by Act for Change.
