Bristol Old Vic’s talent development programme has launched a new strand of in-kind support for artists and companies in the South West.
Bristol Ferment, the theatre’s flagship development scheme, will now offer its members a series of benefits including free tickets to press nights, free monthly workshops and co-working days and the ability to book unused rehearsal space in BOV’s building.
It is one of several programmes that come under the Bristol Ferment umbrella, but is the only one that is open to all.
Companies and theatremakers based in or from the South West are eligible to join the free programme, called the Forum. The theatre is actively encouraging applications from under-represented artists, for example those from minority ethnic backgrounds or who have a disability.
Rehearsal space will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis, and free tickets will be given subject to availability.
Forum members will also be able to add their details to a skills list, shared with other members, and can receive a monthly newsletter detailing upcoming opportunities.
