Drama school ArtsEd is to roll out its performing arts training in Dubai.
The announcement coincides with the London-based drama school’s 100-year anniversary celebrations.
ArtsEd will work with eight partner schools in Dubai to help both teachers and students develop skills and confidence.
The drama school will also be providing open programmes for students to attend during the holidays.
Director for ArtsEd International Andrew Lee told The Stage that around 100 alumni and teachers will be flown into Dubai to deliver the programmes.
The school’s principal Chris Hocking said: “We are thrilled to be bringing ArtsEd to Dubai.
“Our fantastic teachers, brilliant graduates and talented students will work with our UAE partner schools and their students to deliver world-class bespoke programmes helping to develop a full range of performance skills internationally.”
Andrew Jackson, British consul general to Dubai, said: “I am pleased to congratulate ArtsEd on the launch of its innovative performing arts training in the UAE.
“This is a great example of creative partnership between the UK and the UAE, bringing together culture and education.
“ArtsEd has a long history of excellence in training and it is particularly exciting that it has chosen to make the UAE launch part of its centenary celebrations.”
