Patricia Hodge to join cast of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg
Patricia Hodge is to join the cast of the West End revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg.
She will play the role of Grace, joining the previously announced Toby Stephens and Claire Skinner in Peter Nichols’ play.
Directed by Simon Evans, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg runs at Trafalgar Studios in London from September 21 to November 30.
Press night is on October 2.
Hodge said: “This play was ground breaking in the 1960s.
“We live in different times but its relevance and impact is ever more powerful. I am delighted to be joining Toby and Claire to tell the story on the West End stage, in this new production of Peter Nichols’ profound and moving play.”
A Day in the Death of Joe Egg is produced by Howard Panter for Trafalgar Theatre Productions and Eilene Davidson Productions.
