Olympia London announces partnership with Stagecoach and Chickenshed

Olympia London has announced a partnership with theatre organisations Stagecoach and Chickenshed to give them free use of performing arts space.

Located in West Kensington, the event space is undergoing a £700 million redevelopment to create a new cultural district [1], featuring a 1,500-seat theatre, a 1,000-seat music venue, a cinema and a jazz club.

In addition, Olympia London will donate performing arts space to children’s training organisation Stagecoach and community theatre company Chickenshed, with the aim of creating a “new platform for young, creative talent” in the area. It will be a long-term partnership, and the two companies will be provided with space on a flexible basis to meet their needs.

Olympia London is owned by real estate investment firm Yoo Capital and Deutsche Finance International.

John Hitchcox, chairman of Yoo Capital, said: “We’ve always had a passionate belief in fostering creative talent, so it’s a privilege to allow the space to be used in this way.

“We’re having daily conversations with some of the biggest brands in the world about our vision for Olympia London, but we’re thrilled that we are able to announce now these intended partnerships with two incredible organisations that support the next generation.”
