Lynette Linton’s first season at the Bush Theatre will feature six UK playwriting debuts from artists including Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Richard Gadd and director Bijan Sheibani.

Linton said the season offers “extraordinary stories of lived experiences that speak to all corners of our city”.

The new season opens with a revival of Jackie Kay’s Chiaroscuro, running from August 31 and directed by Linton.

Gadd’s Baby Reindeer follows, which will be directed by Jon Brittain, best known as the writer of play Rotterdam.

Sheibani makes his playwriting debut with The Arrival, which he will also direct, with Temi Wilkey’s The High Table following.

The High Table is a co-production with Birmingham Repertory Theatre, and marks a new collaboration between the two venues that will see plays produced for both London and Birmingham.

Level Up, by Malachi Kirby, concludes the main house season in May next year, in a production co-directed by Daniel Bailey and Linton.

Studio productions include I Wanna Be Yours, by Zia Ahmed, and Collapsible, by Margaret Perry.
