YouTube star and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Joe Sugg is to join the West End cast of Waitress.

He will play the role of Ogie, taking over from Blake Harrison, who plays his final performance in the role on September 7.

Sugg, who came second on Strictly last year, will join the show at the Adelphi Theatre from September 9, appearing alongside Lucie Jones, Laura Baldwin, Marisha Wallace and David Hunter.

Waitress has been running in the West End since March, and is currently booking until January 4, 2020.

It is produced by American Repertory Theatre, Barry and Fran Weissler, Norton and Elayne Herrick, Alecia Parker, David I Berley, Feste Investments BV, Peter May, Evamere Entertainment, Tamar Climan, Michael Roiff, Ken Schur, 42nd.Club, Square 1 Theatrics, Jam Theatricals and Adam Blanshay Productions.
