Jennifer Saunders and Rupert Everett to star in Theatre Royal Bath summer season
Jennifer Saunders and Rupert Everett will appear in Theatre Royal Bath’s summer season, the third under artistic director Jonathan Church.
Church has been in charge of the theatre’s summer programming since 2017, and it has now been confirmed that he will continue that until 2022.
Saunders will play Madame Arcati in a production of Blithe Spirit directed by Richard Eyre, with a cast that also includes Lisa Dillon.
The production will be designed by Anthony Ward, with lighting by Howard Harrison.
Meanwhile, Everett will lead the cast of a new version of Uncle Vanya by David Hare, on which Everett will also make his directorial stage debut.
Blithe Spirit runs from June 13 to July 6, with press night on June 19, while Uncle Vanya runs from July 18 to August 3, with press night on July 24.
The full summer programme will be announced in due course.
