Louise Redknapp has been forced to temporarily withdraw from Dolly Parton musical 9 to 5 due to injury.
She was due to star as Violet in 9 to 5, however will not appear in the show when it opens at the Savoy Theatre in the West End later this month after falling and fracturing her wrist.
A statement from the producers said the recovery time needed means she will not be able to properly rehearse her part in the time left before opening.
“Together we have made the difficult decision to delay Louise’s start date in the show. We hope that Louise will start performances some time towards the end of March or early April 2019. Everyone at 9 to 5 wishes Louise a speedy recovery and we look forward to welcoming her back,” the producers said.
On Twitter, Redknapp said she had suffered a “nasty fall”, fracturing her wrist and needing 10 stitches in her chin.
