Chris Main becomes new director of East 15 Acting School

Leon Rubin has stepped down as director of East 15 Acting School, with Chris Main replacing him.

Rubin held the role for 12 years. Although no longer director, he will move to a new position with the drama school’s newly created research team.

Main has worked with the school for more than a decade, originally joining as deputy head of acting and stage combat.

He said: “I am excited for my next chapter at East 15 Acting School. I look forward to building upon the innovative approach of the previous leadership and the school’s recent successes.”

He said his first priorities included driving the second phase of East 15’s expansion of its Loughton Campus, incorporating the new research team into East 15’s training and introducing two new courses to the school, details of which have not been revealed.

“Students’ training remains at the heart of what we do. I am fortunate to be supported by a talented team of tutors and theatre professionals committed to ensuring that East 15 students continue to be well-placed to thrive in a constantly evolving industry. I look forward to developing the quality of our tuition, facilities and graduate success over the coming years,” he said.
