Caroline Sheen joins 9 to 5 musical while Louise Redknapp recovers from injury
Caroline Sheen is to join the cast of 9 to 5 the Musical, replacing Louise Redknapp on a short-term basis.
It was announced last week that Redknapp had had to leave the musical after suffering an injury.
Sheen will now play Violet Newstead in the West End show, from January 28 until the end of March, when Redknapp will return to the production.
Sheen’s West End credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Witches of Eastwick.
She joins the previously announced Amber Davis, Natalie McQueen, Bonnie Langford and Brian Conley in the show at the Savoy Theatre in London, which has a book by Patricia Resnick and music by Dolly Parton.
It is directed by Jeff Calhoun and produced by Ambassador Theatre Group and Selladoor Worldwide with Gavin Kalin Productions, Glass Half Full Productions, Showtime Theatre Productions, Hartshorn – Hook Productions and Kilimanjaro Live.
