Beverley Knight, Clive Rowe and Adrian Lester to guest star in Sweet Charity at the Donmar
Beverley Knight, Clive Rowe and Adrian Lester are among the multiple guest actors announced to play the role of Daddy Brubeck in Sweet Charity at the Donmar Warehouse.
Josie Rourke’s final production as artistic director of the London theatre will run from April 6 to June 8, with press night on April 17.
The role of Daddy Brubeck will be played by a series of actors, starting with Shaq Taylor from April 6 to 13, followed by Lester from April 15 to 27, which includes press night, and Le Gateau Chocolat during the week beginning April 29.
Knight will play the role during the week beginning May 6, followed by Rowe for the week beginning May 13. Further casting for this role is to be announced.
They will join previously announced cast members Lizzy Connolly, Arthur Darvill, Lauren Drew, Anne-Marie Duff, Jo Eaton-Kent, Will Haswell, Charlotte Jaconelli, Stephen Kennedy, Debbie Kurup, Martin Marquez, Ryan Reid, Amy Ellen Richardson and Danielle Steers.
Sweet Charity has a book by Neil Simon, music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Dorothy Fields.
It is choreographed by Wayne McGregor.
