Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre, the Young Vic, Hull Truck Theatre and the Unicorn are among the inaugural winners of the WhatsOffStage Awards.

The new awards, run by theatre website WhatsOnStage, were set up to celebrate the “unsung heroes” of the industry, recognising the work that venues and their staff do to improve the experience for audiences.

Categories include best front-of-house team and best stage door, as well as prizes for accessibility and food and drink.
