Theatre Royal Drury Lane offers auditorium seats to a ‘good home’
Seats from Theatre Royal Drury Lane are being offered free to “a good home” when the venue undergoes a refurbishment next year.
The theatre is closing in January for a major renovation, which aims to “restore the Theatre Royal to its place as the most important venue for musical theatre” in London.
As part of the refurbishment, LW Theatres will be remodelling the auditorium and replacing all of the theatre seating.
Seats will be available for collection in January 2019 and LW Theatres said it was keen to receive offers from interested parties requiring batches of 100 seats or more.
A spokeswoman said: “LW Theatres is keen that the seats from Theatre Royal Drury Lane go to a good home, preferably within the theatre or education communities. Therefore, we are not looking for commercial gain.”
