Stephen Rea to reprise role in David Ireland’s Cyprus Avenue
David Ireland’s Cyrpus Avenue is to return to the Royal Court in London with Stephen Rea to reprise his role.
Cyprus Avenue, which explores Ulster loyalism in Northern Ireland, ran at the Royal Court’s Jerwood Theatre Upstairs in April 2016.
The play will return to the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs for a four week run from February 14 to March 16.
Rea will reprise his role as Belfast loyalist Eric Miller, with further casting to be announced.
Cyrpus Avenue is directed by Vicky Featherstone with set and costume design by Lizzie Clachan, lighting design by Paul Keogan and sound design by David McSeveney.
It is produced by the Royal Court Theatre and Dublin’s Abbey Theatre.
